The nylon breathable valve connector is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant breathable device that combines the insulation of nylon material with the microporous structure of the breathable membrane. It is suitable for medium and low temperature, corrosion-resistant, dust-proof and waterproof scenarios.
1. Material properties
Nylon shell:
Types: PA6 (general purpose), PA66 (high strength), PA12 (low temperature resistance/oil resistance), glass fiber reinforced (improved rigidity).
Advantages: lightweight (density 1.1~1.3g/cm³), insulation (volume resistivity ≥10¹³Ω·cm), weak acid/weak alkali resistance.
Temperature range: -40ºC~+120ºC (short-term resistance to 150ºC, glass fiber reinforced type can reach 140ºC).
Breathable membrane:
Material: expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE, waterproof and breathable), nylon microporous membrane (pore size 0.1~10μm).
Composite structure: Some models use nylon skeleton + ePTFE membrane layer to enhance mechanical strength.
2. Structural design
Breathable channel:
Porous valve core: nylon sintered micropores or embedded breathable membrane, porosity 20%~60%.
One-way/two-way ventilation: Some models achieve airflow direction control through membrane structure differences.
Sealing design:
O-ring material: silicone (high temperature resistant), fluororubber (oil resistant), EPDM (EPDM, aging resistant).
Integrated seal: The shell and the breathable membrane are integrally molded to reduce the risk of leakage.
Interface type:
Thread specifications: metric (M3~M20), PG thread, G1/8~G1/2.
Quick plug: used for quick connection of hoses (with barbs or buckle structure).
3. Performance parameters
Air permeability: 0.05~5 L/min·cm² (@1kPa pressure difference, affected by membrane pore size and thickness).
Protection level: IP67/IP68 (can be immersed in water for 1m for 48 hours).
Pressure resistance:
Shell pressure: ≤2MPa (glass fiber reinforced type can reach 4MPa).
Membrane pressure difference: ≥50kPa (ePTFE membrane can reach 100kPa).
Chemical compatibility:
Tolerant media: fuel, lubricating oil, dilute acid/alkali solution (pH 3~11).
Intolerant: strong oxidants (such as concentrated sulfuric acid), some organic solvents (such as acetone).
4. Environmental adaptability
Temperature cycle: -40ºC~+120ºC cycle 200 times, no cracking or sealing failure.
Anti-seismic performance: passed IEC 60068-2-6 vibration test (5~500Hz, acceleration 10g).
Anti-ultraviolet: nylon shell with anti-UV additive, outdoor service life > 5 years.
